OROGOLD: peel your skin with gold?

A sunny day in April. I was just casually strolling down the street trying to get some shots for my upcoming street style post. Just casually approaching people, asking to take their pictures, trying to seem all cool and in my element while also really trying to figure out exactly how the camera works and trying not to drop it. On my quest I met a beautiful woman, a model from Puerto Rico. She told me about this skin care product that was supposedly going to make my skin so radiant, even-toned and glowy that I could basically toss my foundation out the window. Since the summer season is coming up (which usually means swimming and other non-foundation activities), and the idea of tossing anything out the window is rather exciting I decided to give it a try.

What? 24k Multi-Vitamin Deep Peeling + Madelic Acid.Image result for 24K Multi-Vitamin Deep Peeling + Mandelic Acid orogold

Price: 178 dollars

First impressions: The packaging looks really nice and luxurious. The bottle comes in a solid golden colored box. Inside the box you can find an authentication certificate that tells you “basic characteristics: beaten metal leafs with a thickness of 0.07 microns. This product contains pure gold from Italy.”. In all fairness if putting actual gold on your face does not make you feel like a princess I don’t know what does.

How to use: This product should be used once per week. Apply the gel onto dry cleansed skin and gently rub in circular motion avoiding eyes area. Rinse off with cool water.

The fact that this product only has to be used once a week, and the bottle is rather big (100ml), makes it up for the price. Therefore even though it is rather pricey, it will last you a long while.

Scent: The scent is mostly neutral, it does not smell of anything in particular.

Feeling on the skin: It is a gel formula so when you initially apply it on your skin it feels like a gel would (surprise, surprise). When you start rubbing it in, you can feel the little metal “beads”, however it is not an unpleasant or rough on your skin feeling. Also, after a brief while of rubbing it in you will see some of your dead skin coming off and mixing in with the gel. As much as that does not sound appealing, it is an indicator that it has at least some kind of an effect. Overall the application process is quite pleasant.

Effects after using it: Already after the first time of using Orogold 24k Multi-Vitamin Deep Peeling + Madelic Acid I could see a few differences in my skin appearance. My skin looked a little more even toned then usual, it felt really soft and clean, and last but not least my moisturizer absorbed way more easier into my skin. The fact that my moisturizer absorbed in easier was a big plus factor, this actually means that the dead skin layer has been removed and your skin is clean. Moreover the fact that already after one time use it managed to even out my tone a little more is another big plus point. The effects have surprised me in a positive way.

Overall judgement: I really like this product, and will incorporate it into my beauty routine. If it will make me throw my foundation out the window is yet to be seen, but I am excited to find out. unnamed (1).jpg
