Being an active member of fitness and health community it is a weird thing to admit that I have never tried kombucha until last month.

Kombucha is a drink that is created though the process of fermentation of lightly sweetened black or green tea. It is produced by fermenting the tea using a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY).

Kombucha contains beneficial probiotics and acids, and has many health benefits associated with it such as:

  • Improved digestion
  • Increased energyES_Trilogy
  • Liver detoxification
  • It helps nutrient assimilation
  • Can be beneficial for weight loss
  • Can help improve immune system

What?    Synergy is a company that has been handcrafting and bottling kombucha in Los Angeles since 1995. Their kombucha is vegan, gluten free and non GMO. Also, they offer over 20 flavors, so even the picky ones among us could probably find something they like.

What’s inside:    Let’s take a look at what’s inside. Is it a sneaky soda trying to disguise itself as a healthy drink, or is it actually good for you?

First things first, it is very low in sugar, fat and sodium, which is great. It also has many great additional nutrients
such as folic acid and vitamins. Then it has probiotics that oaid your digestion, and antioxidants that also have many health benefits. All in all, it seems to be pretty great.

Taste test and final judgement: I’ve tried a few flavors now, and honestly I really like it! The drink is a bit fizzy, a little sweet and a little sour, hard to describe to someone who has not tasted it to be completely honest with you. Also, if I drink it when I am bit bloated it tends to de-bloat me. Plus, it has little inspirational quotes on the backside, which is kind of cute.

In conclusion, I’ll definitely keep drinking kombucha by synergy. Not only is a great in taste, it is also good for your overall fitness.
